Scarby in March = A ghost town with landscaping

I was out at Faire site today. They're making some changes this year, and I think it's going to be for the better.

There's a new Friends of Faire rest area down by the mud pit, and a gallows going up nearby, presumably for scheduled daily "hangings."

There's lots of freshly seeded grass and sod filling in the dead areas, and some much needed landscaped terracing down by House of Dra. Now that hideous rocky slope in front of her shop will be pretty flowers and jasmine instead.

The walking trails are getting a facelift as well. Many of the wide, ugly, chalky walkways are being narrowed a bit, and bordered by fresh sod. Here's hoping that nice, pretty green sod makes it past the first rainy/muddy faire day.

Ah, and the wedding area is now sodded as well! No more gravel! YAY!

Methinks the faire grounds will be all pretty and gussied up this year, no?
